Racetrack

This is the famous death valley racetrack. I came here to see the sailing stones. This is looking south.

The floor is dry and parched. Its very easy walking.

The area is much bigger than I expected. There is nothing to the north, but now I am walking south.

The sign says the sailing stones break off from that center structure and the wind blows them around when its wet. This is the first sailing stone I saw. It is extremely windy now and hard to walk.

Sometimes they seem to go a long way and the paths are obvious.

Walking back north to the structure can sometimes better show the paths they’ve taken.
